A couple of years after Ford released the 1990 special edition known as the "7-Up" car, Ford released another seasonally-timed special that became known as the "Summer" special edition. All are powered by the 5.0-liter V-8 engine and were based and on the LX convertible platform. They are distinguished by Vibrant Red paint, including the A-pillars. Pearl white wheels, a rear spoiler and white leather interior were also specified for this model. Firm production numbers vary, but 2,193 is cited by many experts as the number of these cars built. This particular car has the automatic transmission and the original mileage is reported to be in the mid-40,000 range, and it is said to be loaded with options. This uncommon model of the popular Mustang is on the radar as being quite collectable.
