  • Hand-built iconic Auburn Boattail replica by Speedster Motorcars.
  • Equipped with 5.3-Litre Chevrolet V-8 and floor-shift automatic transmission.
  • Options include air conditioning, tilt steering wheel; power windows, seat, and steering.
  • Superbly detailed condition with just 3,600 miles.

Chassis no. X8JW700781

410-cid, 345-hp OHV V-8 engine, three-speed Tele-touch automatic transmission, coil spring independent front suspension, live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel power hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 124-inches

Apart from the controversial styling and innovative Tele-touch automatic transmission, the Edsel was much like any other Ford Motor Company mid-priced car.

The styling is attributed to the recently deceased Roy Brown, whose tour de force was the British Ford Cortina, quite conventional and a very popular car. Go figure.

This Edsel, from the upper-mid Corsair series, has a nut-and-bolt, show-quality restoration. In silver with red side coves, it has a new correct red-and-silver interior. The restorer, an Edsel authority, won Best of Show at the International Edsel Club meet in 2003. The car has been featured on the cover of Edsel World magazine.

Equipped with power steering, power brakes, AM radio and windshield washers, it is as clean underneath as on top. The engine compartment is sanitary and correctly detailed, the E-475 powerplant (its torque rating) proudly showing its name.
