In 1969 the Boss 302 Mustange began production in response the General Motor’s growing success of the Z28 Camaro allowing Ford to homologate a street vehicle, and compete in the Trans-Am race series. Designed by former GM employee Larry Shinoda, the “Boss” featured front disc brakes, larger sway bars, heavy duty spindles, reinforced shock towers, a four speed manual transmission, and the solid-lifter Boss 302 V8 engine with its free-breathing Cleveland style heads, which had valves larger than most motors over a third larger in displacement having a horsepower rating of 290.

This Boss 302 has been exceptionally restored and has been fully documented with a Marti report. It is finished in Calypso Coral Paint with Black Kiwi Vinyl bucket seats. It features a four-speed close ratio manual transmission with the optional Traction-Lok differential with a 3.91 axle ratio. Additional options include power front disc brakes, center console, AM radio, rear deck spoiler, raised white letter tires, and color keyed racing mirrors.

There has been a tremendous amount of work involved in the restoration of this car. The body has been completely disassembled, bead blasted to bear metal, and refinished. All the chrome pieces and moldings have been replaced. It has all new Ford suspension and brake systems including a rebuilt master cylinder and brake booster. The engine and transmission have been completely rebuilt and balanced, and the interior has thoroughly been reworked. All is has been done to specification and is highly detailed inside and out.
