The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon debuted in April 2017 at the New York Auto Show. Essentially a street-legal drag racer, the Demon is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V-8 engine that puts out an incredible 840 horsepower and 717 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission can be shifted via steering-mounted paddles. The Demon can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.9 seconds and can destroy the quarter mile in 9.14 seconds at 152 mph.

To enhance its capabilities, the Demon came standard with Nitto street-legal drag radials for improved grip, as well as a host of other drag-focused technology, including an automated transmission brake with launch-control function, a ventilated “Air Grabber” hood, and a selectable “Drag Mode” that optimized engine, transmission, and chassis settings for straight-line acceleration. Front passenger and rear seats were deleted to save weight but could be added back for only $1 each. An optional “Demon Crate” came with performance-enhancing parts designed exclusively for drag racing, including narrow front wheels, a powertrain control module, Demon-branded track tools, and more. Instantly collectible, only 3,300 examples of this coveted super-coupe were produced.

The one-owner example offered here is number 3,235. It is finished in Blue Pearl with optional Satin Black hood. The black cloth interior features the “optional” front passenger and rear seats. Other factory options include red seat belts, the Demon vehicle storage package, and cargo area dress-up.

With fewer than 400 kilometers showing on the odometer, this Demon has been sparingly driven. Included in the sale are factory manuals in a demon-branded folio, a copy of the window sticker, and a “Demon Crate” with factory drag-racing accessories and parts.
