Completed in late-1965, this example of Porsche’s celebrated first-generation 911 was delivered new to Hanover, Germany, built to 1966 model year specification. According to an accompanying copy of the Kardex factory data sheet (available to view on file), the car was finished in Aga Blue while the interior was trimmed with Black leatherette featuring Pepita houndstooth cloth inserts and specified with a Webasto heater.

Subsequently exported to the United States, the 911 is believed to have been damaged during the early 1990s—with a Californian title issued in 1995 recording the car as “salvaged”. The Porsche was duly repaired and repainted, its Beverly Hills-based owner retaining possession until 2002. After passing through a couple more American custodians, the car returned to Germany, and it was bought by the consigning owner in 2014.

Today, chassis number 302869 looks to have been repainted in the shade of Bali Blue, which complements its factory-correct Black leatherette and Pepita seats. Notably, this 911 retains its matching-numbers 2-litre flat-six engine making130 horsepower via a five-speed manual transmission. An accompanying Andy Prill report notes that the car presents well, but is in older restored condition, while requiring attention to panel gaps, headlining, missing trim, and other minor details. Accordingly, the car will require some recommissioning prior to use.
