Bidders from over 11 countries flocked to the historic Auburn Auction Park in Indiana for RM Auctions’ four-day collector car auction, beginning with two full days of automotive memorabilia and the weekend sale offering a wide variety of collectible automobiles from numerous sectors of the market. The American Automobile Club of America (AACA) also hosted their annual Grand National Meet, displaying over 400 cars and attracting thousands of guests. Total sales for the four-day auction reached an impressive $6,853,794, led by an ACD Club Category One-certified, impeccably restored 1930 Cord L-29 convertible sedan. A powerful and refined Rolls-Royce Wraith from single ownership from new and the first continuation series production Shelby Cobra 289 chassis CSX8001 rounded out the top three.
