AUBURN, Indiana (January 24, 2014) – Auctions America is delighted to announce a multi-year agreement with the Sports Emmy Award-winning NBCSN, providing exclusive live television coverage of its US-based collector car auctions. Commencing in May, the 2014 schedule will see the network broadcast 24 hours of exclusive coverage from Auctions America’s Auburn Spring, California, and Auburn Fall sales, as well as provide online live streaming coverage of each event on NBC Sports Live Extra, the NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices and tablets, via "TV Everywhere".

The new agreement follows the successful broadcast of Auctions America’s debut California sale and flagship Auburn Fall event in 2013, which received rave reviews for their fresh approach to collector car auction programming. Produced by Roger Wilco Productions, the new coverage will follow the same format; in addition to tracking live gavel-to-gavel action, it will showcase the stories behind feature cars and marques, as well as provide a glimpse into the characters of the global collector car hobby, making for entertaining and educational viewing.

The 2014 schedule includes nine hours of coverage from Auctions America’s annual Auburn Spring event, May 8 – 10,  along with five hours of coverage from its second annual California sale, August 1 – 2, and 10 hours of coverage from its flagship Auburn Fall event, August 27 – 31. Complete schedules and times will be published online in the coming months.

“Following the great response to our telecasts in California and Indiana last year, we’re thrilled to team up with NBCSN once again to deliver exciting, fresh collector car content to motoring enthusiasts, as well as help educate the marketplace through our programming,” says Donnie Gould, president of Auctions America.

The company’s first televised auction of the year, Auburn Spring, will be headlined by the respected John Scotti Collection – a magnificent collection of 400 vehicles offered entirely without reserve. A lifelong enthusiast, Scotti has been immersed in the automotive industry and hobby from a young age. Growing up with a love for drag racing, he began his career as a mechanic before going on to establish a very successful group of car dealerships in Montreal, Quebec, while concurrently building an impressive car collection of his own. Carefully amassed over 25 years, the John Scotti Collection is highlighted by exceptional 1950s to 1970s American muscle cars, and late model exotics.

“Mr. Scotti has been a long-time friend of Auctions America, and we’re honored that he’s entrusted us with the sale of his extensive collection,” adds Gould. “The cars in the collection are a perfect fit for the Auctions America brand and are sure to provide some exciting coverage on NBCSN.”

As Scotti prepares to downsize his collection this spring, some 400 vehicles from the collection will cross the block in Auburn, May 8 - 10. Among a long list of feature attractions are: a highly original 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster with only 5,500 miles; a 1987 Buick GNX showing just 90 original miles; a concours-ready 1934 Chrysler Airflow, presented in striking dark green; and an extremely rare 1958 Pontiac Parisienne Convertible.

“I’ve known the Auctions America team for a number of years and have become familiar with the expertise of their specialists and their different auction venues,” says Scotti. “When the time came to sell my collection, I knew they would provide fantastic service and connect my cars with the right buyers. I’m looking forward to Auburn Spring and passing my cars on to the next generation of collectors.”
