While the distinctive wedge shape of the Ferrari Testarossa is often pinned as a symbol of 1980s excess, its mid-engined platform underwent two high-profile overhauls in the next decade. The 512 TR evolved the Testarossa with subtle exterior tweaks and a redesigned interior in 1991, while the reveal of the F512 M in 1994 represented the most significant overhaul of the model yet. Key visual differences were made to the nose and tail of the car, notably losing the charismatic pop-up headlights in favour of integrated covered lenses. Its “M" suffix stood for “Modificato” and this was the most powerful adaptation of the Testarossa yet, rated by the factory at 434 horsepower. Only 501 examples of the F512 M were made in a two-year production run, making it especially coveted among Testarossa enthusiasts and Ferrari collectors.

This example was produced in 1996 and supplied, finished in the perennially popular combination of Rosso Corsa over a Nero leather interior, by Autohaus Isert. The car was acquired by the consignor in November 2015, and one month later was subject to €13,097.26-worth of maintenance and servicing. The F512 M received certification by Ferrari Classiche in September 2016, with a copy of the Red Book available to view in the history file. In May 2018, a further €1,650.02-worth of work was carried out at official Ferrari dealer, Gohm Böblingen. The F512 M returned to the same Ferrari workshop in January 2024 for servicing that totalled €9,128.45. It is accompanied by an owner’s manual and service book containing eight stamps.

L'exemplaire proposé est sorti d'usine en 1996 dans la combinaison de couleurs intemporelle, rouge Rosso Corsa et intérieur en cuir noir Nero, pour être livré à son client par Autohaus Isert. La voiture a été acquise par l'actuel propriétaire en novembre 2015, et un mois plus tard, elle a fait l'objet d'une révision et d'un entretien pour un montant de 13 097,26 €. En mai 2018, des travaux supplémentaires furent exécutés par Gohm Böblingen, un concessionnaire officiel Ferrari, pour la somme de 1 650,02 €.
