Addendum
Please note the UK V5C is not currently present with the car, and a duplicate has been applied for. Due to delays at the DVLA owing to the global pandemic, this process can take a few weeks, and the V5C will follow after the sale. Please also note, owing to the UK having now left the European Customs Union, buyers should be aware of any and all implications of purchasing a UK based lot, including but not limited to this lot being subject to VAT on the full purchase price if importing into the EU.

When Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations was looking for a firm to construct a special custom Defender for an upcoming feature film they turned to Bowler Motorsport. The only instructions given were that the cars should be fit for a movie villain's use and 10 examples were needed. Bowler Motorsport based their builds around a Land Rover Defender 110 Crew Cab, and the resulting vehicles were appropriately sinister and immediately distinguishable by their Santorini black coachwork, widened wheel arches, external rollcage and 37-inch high profile tyres.

In 2019, Bowler Director Richard Hayward commissioned his own engineers - many of whom had been involved on the prior project - to construct one final tribute Defender, and it is that vehicle offered here. Based around a correct-type 2010 Land Rover Defender 110 Crew Cab, the completed vehicle featured a Stage 2 engine upgrade with improved ECU, intercooler and exhaust as well as a Bowler Fast Road Suspension kit, Bowler widened wheel arches and the distinctive 37-inch Maxxis Trepador tyres, mounted on the correct 16-inch Beadlock wheels. The vehicle’s menacing look was completed by the addition of other accessories including a Warn Zeon-10S winch, Safety Devices external rollcage and roof rack, LED lighting, rear deck checker plating and an original set of SVX Recaro seats.

Unlike the initial batch of ten cars, this particular example is configured in right-hand-drive form and remains one of only a handful of SVX specification vehicles to have ever been road registered. Offering unparalleled road presence, incredible rarity and exhilarating performance this remarkable vehicle is immaculately presented and ready for immediate enjoyment in virtually any environment.
