Of all the performance-oriented models created by Abarth, it is perhaps the 695 SS that best represents the scorpion-branded firm’s collaboration with Fiat.
The 695 came equipped with special cylinder castings. The exhaust ports and manifold pipes were polished, and the new valve springs and revised camshaft allowed for higher engine speeds. An Abarth double-outlet silencer was used in place of the original carburettor, and modifications continued throughout the engine, suspension, brakes, and most of the other mechanical components. The Abarth’s compact dimensions and light weight gave it a top speed greater than 90 mph, which meant it worked well on both demanding road courses and tight city streets.
Around 1,000 Fiat Abarth 695 SS were produced, with this particular car leaving the Abarth workshop in July 1970. The current custodians are thought to be the fourth owners from new, and the car has covered what is thought to be a genuine mileage of 40,000 kilometres since new. In 2011, the current owners, who are prominent members of the French Fiat 500 Club, commissioned a body-off restoration of the car.
The 1970 Fiat Abarth 695 SS offered here comes with an original tool kit, which is stored in an original Fiat case, and the upholstery is presented in original condition, with the cosmetics being presented in restored condition.

La 695 comportait des cylindres spéciaux. Grâce à ses dimensions compactes et à son poids limité, l'Abarth pouvait atteindre une vitesse de pointe de 145 km/h, ce qui lui donnait une grande efficacité aussi bien sur route qu'en ville dans les rues étroites.
Environ 1 000 exemplaires de Fiat Abarth 695 SS ont été produits, la présente voiture ayant quitté les ateliers Abarth en juillet 1970. Les propriétaires actuels sont probablement les quatrièmes depuis l'origine, et la voiture a couvert un kilométrage de 40 000 km que l'on pense d'origine. En 2011 les propriétaires, qui sont des membres importants du Club Fiat 500 français, ont fait complètement restaurer la voiture.
La Fiat Abarth 695 SS 1970 proposée ici est accompagnée d'une trousse à outils d'origine, rangée dans une caisse Fiat d'origine. La sellerie se présente en état d'origine, alors que la carrosserie et la peinture sont complètement restaurés.
