For the 1999 CART FedEx Championship Series, Newman/Haas Racing fielded two cars: The #6 Texaco/Havoline car piloted by Michael Andretti, and the #11 Big Kmart car piloted by Christian Fittipaldi and Roberto Moreno. Team cars for the season were Swift 010.c models with Firestone tires. They were powered by Ford-Cosworth XD engines.
The 20-race season would see pole positions secured by Newman/Haas Racing team drivers twice: By Christian Fittipaldi at the Grand Prix Telemar Rio 200, and Michael Andretti at the Road America Texaco/Havoline 200. Additionally, each team driver would secure a fastest lap over the course of the season. In total the team podiumed in 11 races, highlighted by Michael Andretti winning the Motorola 300 at Gateway International Raceway in Madison, Illinois, and Christian Fittipaldi winning the Texaco/Havoline 200 at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Michael Andretti, Christian Fittipaldi, and Roberto Moreno would finish 4th, 7th, and 14th, respectively, in the drivers’ standings for the 1999 season.

This 1999 Swift-Ford 010.c was used as a test car during the 1999 season. According to a race chart provided by Newman/Haas Racing, this car was first used in July of 1999 over a three-day period by Michael Andretti at Fontana. It was subsequently used by Christian Fittipaldi on 2 August 1999 at St. Louis. Its last recorded use was on 29 August 1999, wrapping up a two-day testing session at Sebring with Roberto Moreno behind the wheel.
Now presented in Michael Andretti’s #6 Texaco/Havoline livery, it is not currently fitted with an engine.
