Ford first introduced the Mustang Mach 1 in 1969, in an effort to phase out the “GT” moniker that had previously been a staple since its inception in 1965. With this model, Ford introduced the famed Cobra Jet series of engines, which offered an impressive amount of horsepower. This was Ford's mainstream performance automobile and truly solidified the company's position as a capable manufacturer of American musclecars. Ford effectively jam-packed the Corbra Jet with the perfect combination of looks and personality, making it equally as desirable today as it was when it was first introduced.

This Mustang Mach 1 is well-equipped and looks proper finished in Black Jade with white interior. Options include the 428-cid, 335-hp (non-Ram Air hood) Cobra Jet engine, C-6 Cruise-O-Matic transmission, factory air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, factory Argent styled steel wheels and BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.

Reliable sources indicate the total Mustang series accounted for 299,824 cars that Ford produced in 1969. From this, 72,458 Mach 1’s were produced in the same model year. Only 13,261 Mustang’s received either the 428 SCJ or 428 CJ in 1969 and to further show the significance of this car, only 1,274 were Q-Code SportsRoof examples with an automatic transmission, such as this quite desirable model.

Its 4V CJ V-8 is acclaimed for being strong, fast and able to demonstrate loads of power. This Mustang doesn't hesitate to perform, so don’t be afraid to test the throttle when the opportunity presents itself. This is a fantastic opportunity to own a fine example of Ford's legendary Mach 1.
