The MG TB is reported to be the short lived follow up to the TA and the beginning of the T series. Production was only for the year and just 353 were said to be produced. The TB was the first to introduce the XPAG engine which was retained throughout production of the TC, TD, and TF. This example is presented in two-tone red using the pre-war colors Saratoga Red and Carmine Red with a tan interior. It is said that pre-war sales brochures assured prospective buyers that is they wanted a certain color combination they must be accommodated. Running with an inline 1,250-cc four-cylinder engine with a four-speed manual transmission; this MG also exhibits a tan top boot, wire wheels, knock-off hubs, right-hand drive, fold-down windshield, nicely detailed dash and dual side view mirrors. This outstanding MG has won the New England MGT Register premier award as well as other awards at various local car shows.
