At the time the Mustang was America’s favorite car, just mentioning Mustang turned a conversation to fun, going places and doing exciting things. This highly optioned GT was originally sold in Georgia and is the beneficiary of a recent, complete nut-and-bolt restoration. It is powered by the Challenger Special A-code 289-cid, 225-hp V-8 with a Sports Console-mounted four-speed manual transmission. As part of the factory GT Group the car displays GT stripes like seen on the factory Ford GT40 LeMans racecars, a pair of four-inch foglights mounted in the grille, Special Handling Package which includes front disc brakes and styled steel wheels.

The Mustang GT is presented in Emberglow with an optional Parchment vinyl roof, this is highlighted by the rather uncommon Rich Interior Décor Group or commonly referred to as the “Pony” interior. The colors are again the rich Emberglow and Parchment tones offering unique embossed seat inserts, door panels with pistol-grip door handles, built-in armrests, safety courtesy lights and more. More enticing options are seen with the Rally Pac gauges, AM/FM radio and Décor Group trim that comprise the wood-like deluxe steering wheel, instrument panel and glovebox cover.
