Donated by McLaren, this show car was created for display purposes to promote MP4-24, McLaren’s Formula 1 car for the 2009 Formula 1 World Championship. That season, raced by Heikki Kovalainen and reigning World Champion Lewis Hamilton raced the MP4-24 to a third place finish in the constructors championship. Presently, this car is finished in the livery of the MP4-31, the car that competed in the 2015 F1 World Championship.
