The Greyhound was introduced by AC as a four-seater coupe and was added to its model range in 1959. The Greyhound shared many components with the smaller Ace range, including the same engine choices. Most cars used the 2-liter and 2.2-liter Bristol engines, although the original AC in-house design was available at first. This AC is a true four-seater with respectable luggage space and displays clean lines in keeping with period design practices. The Greyhounds coachwork looked elegant and contemporary and boasted lines that were every bit as sleek as its namesake. This particular example has a modern Ford 5.0-liter V-8 engine; however, as an essentially hand-built car with production lasting until 1963 and only 83 cars thought to have left the Thames Ditton factory, this is a very worthy candidate to thoroughly enjoy in the manner you determine is best.
