The Series 62 featured a low, sleek body, 346 cubic inch, L-head V-8 engine producing 150 horsepower, semi-floating rear axle and four-wheel hydraulic brakes. Cars came equipped with a three-speed synchromesh manual transmission, though the Oldsmobile Hydra-Matic automatic transmission was offered as an option. It is thought by some that, aesthetically, this was a high point in Cadillac styling. Visually, the car is a masterpiece of subtle, flowing curves and is stunning in red with tan convertible top.
