Chassis no. 3505

268.3-cid inline L-head six-cylinder engine, three-speed manual transmission, solid front axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, live rear axle with three-quarter-elliptic leaf springs and two-wheel mechanical drum brakes. Wheelbase: 120-inches.

Best described as in a state of “arrested restoration,” this Chandler has had much of the difficult work completed. The chassis has been cleaned and painted in the same shade of blue that adorns the body. Fenders are black and correctly contoured and a black canvas top has been installed. Black buttoned leatherette upholstery has also been installed.

The paint, however, is not of the best quality and has a number of scrapes and scratches. The engine, although complete, could be better detailed. However, the car could be made very presentable with little effort, yielding an attractive antique that could be enjoyed without great additional expenditure. The back seat is filled with parts, some of them no doubt items to be re-installed on the car, others that may be spares. For those not afraid of unfinished projects, this could be a very good investment.
