In 1980 and 1981, the Dodge Omni 024 was offered with a sporty, optional trim: the “DeTomaso” package. The equipment list featured black trim and accents, a front air dam, fender flares, rear hatch and side window louvers, rear spoiler, aluminum wheels with 185/70-13 tires, a brushed-alloy look roof band, DeTomaso decals on the bodyside, spoiler, and windshield, bucket seats, additional instruments, a leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, unique DeTomaso floormats, a dash plaque and firmer suspension. A four-speed manual transmission was standard, with automatic transmission as an option. For 1980, cars received a 1.7-liter inline four-cylinder engine. In 1981, the cars were built with the new Chrysler 2.2-liter inline four-cylinder engine. This 1980 example is equipped with the manual transmission. Of 1,333 built in 1980, it is believed that very few remain.
