The second generation Camaro was dramatically styled in the long nose, short deck tradition of sports cars from the beginning of the concept in the Teens. The smoothly tapered shape from the door back to the tail emphasized uninterrupted air flow with surface development that would not have been out of place on a Ferrari Daytona. In keeping with the eras ‘go bold or go home’ theme, this Z28 truly stands out in a crowd with its massive hood graphics and trunk stripes. The Z28 came standard with the 350-cid V-8 and this example is optioned with a four-speed transmission. The cloth and vinyl interior is still nearly as new and detailed in every way. Also highly detailed is the immaculate engine compartment. Of the 146,595 Camaros built for 1974, only 13,802 had the Z28 option, and yet even fewer had a manual transmission, making for a very desirable Chevy today.
