After World War II, Donald Healey constructed a line of cars on chassis of his own design, powered by Riley engines. In addition to the well-known Silverstone sports car, there were Westland roadsters, Abbott dropheads and Elliott saloons, bodied by Tickford Ltd. At its 1948 introduction, the Elliott was called the fastest production closed car. From 1946-1950, only 105 Healey Elliott Sports Saloons were built.
