The spring of 1968 brought the interesting $126 "Sports Grain" option for Chrysler Newport hardtops and convertibles. This was a unique form of wagon-type simulated-wood side paneling. It was dropped after 1969. Uncommon at the time and very rare now, these special editions represent a special time of fashion and car design in America. This car has the 383 cubic inch V-8 engine, automatic, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, radio, new correct whitewall tires and more. It is finished in Antique Ivory with a gold interior upholstery. The overall condition of this Chrysler is likely unmatched by any other known example and it is stated to be a very low mile version.
