With the Chevelle, Chevrolet offered what many considered to be the perfectly designed mid-sized car that could be looked at as a serious musclecar with great performance, while others found it to be perfect for trips to the grocery store and about-town errands. There is no middle ground with this example, this black with black interior sport coupe runs with a 396-cid V-8 engine that has been modified to produce 600 horsepower. The engine has an aftermarket dual exhaust system and is paired to a Fairbanks Racing automatic transmission. Along with having just one repaint reported, the Chevelle has an AM radio, power brakes, mag-style SS wheels, white side stripes, plus underdash water temp and oil pressure gauges.
