The product of the legendary Art and Color Section and its iconic leader Harley Earl, the 1941 Cadillac Series 60 Special represents the penultimate Cadillac design to hit the streets before American automobile production stopped for World War II. With a powerful 150-bhp V-8 engine mounted in a 126-in. wheelbase and featuring two different body styles, the Series 60 was among the finest mid-level luxury cars of the period. They remain popular with pre-war enthusiasts today, more than 75 years after they were first penned.

The car offered here has been owned by the consignor for approximately four years. It was the subject of a total restoration about 10 years ago and remains in very good condition, including the elegant two-tone blue paint and the pot metal trim. Like many luxury cars of the period it features a stunning wood-grain dash and Art Deco-inspired instrumentation and trim set against an immaculate Fleetwood wool broadcloth interior. The Cadillac is an exceptionally well-appointed automobile for the era and features the optional radio with power antenna, deluxe heater, deluxe hubcaps, and the correct exhaust tip. The smooth power and acceleration provided by the 346-cu. in. L-head engine and three-speed column shift transmission provide a ride befitting the name Cadillac.

With a recent service including brakes, a tune-up, and a front-end alignment, this CCCA Full Classic is an ideal choice for CARavan touring, pre-war shows, or for effortlessly eating up miles on the Great American Road. A more comfortable pre-war Classic would be hard to find.
