MODEL 4941. 40'x8'6" three-axle enclosed car trailer, and GVWR 21,000 lb.

A leading manufacturer of general purpose and specialty trailers, Featherlite is the oldest brand of aluminum trailers in North America. Founded in 1973, the company is located in Cresco, Iowa. Now part of Universal Trailer Corporation, its consumer product lines include horse, livestock, car, and utility trailers, as well as motorcycle, ATV, snowmobile, and other recreational trailers.

The Dingman Collection purchased this Model 4941 Featherlite from Roush Racing about six years ago. A gooseneck style with fifth-wheel hitch, it measures 49 feet overall, for a 40′3″ load area. It has three 7,000-pound axles, each with Michelin LT235/85-R-16 radial tires, and all in good condition. Fully capable of hauling two Full Classic automobiles, it has an end-loading ramp that rises with a cable winch. There is a single forward door on the right side, tie-down hooks for two cars inside, and space for small items in the gooseneck.

It is in very good used condition with no dents or blemishes in the aluminum skin. All-aluminum construction means low maintenance and economy of use. As such, Featherlite trailers are an industry-leader and a favorite choice for automotive transport. This example will be ideal for any collector car collection with a regular need for transport, be it to and from concours events, race meetings, rallies, or tours.
