350 cu. in. small-block V-8 engine, five-speed manual transmission, four-wheel leaf spring suspension with live rear axle, and power assisted hydraulic front and rear disc brakes. Wheelbase: 114 in.

The Apache 31 series represented the standard that all truck manufacturers tried to meet. This Chevrolet Apache from the Charlie Thomas Collection has been restored and finished in a brilliant red. Complete with a host of amenities and options, including front and rear chrome bumpers as well as a bed-side mounted spare tire and dual spot lights. The interior has the appearance of being in stock condition, with well-tailored gold vinyl seat upholstery that is accented with gold and black cloth inserts. Upon close inspection, one can see that this pickup has been treated to such upgraded amenities as modern air conditioning and an AM/FM cassette radio. The engine is a modern small block crate unit with an Edelbrock carburetor, a custom air cleaner, and tube headers hooked to a manual five-speed transmission. Although this is an older restoration, the paint, body, chrome, and stainless all show very well with good fit and finish throughout, for an overall delightful presentation.
