ONLINE ONLY: OPEN ROADS, FALL
12 - 19 NOVEMBER
CONSIGNMENTS INVITED THROUGH 28 OCTOBER
Open Roads, Fall is set to continue the momentum of RM Sotheby’s highly successful Online Only auction calendar. With the recent cancellation of the Antique Automobile Club of America’s (AACA) Annual Fall Meet earlier this summer, we have decided to postpone and transition our 14th annual live Hershey auction into this new Online Only auction.
Open for bidding at 1:00 p.m. EDT on 12 November and closing in a staggered format beginning at 11:00 a.m. EDT on 19 November, the Online Only: Open Roads, Fall auction, will feature a wide variety of collector cars spanning the spectrum of the market. While the Brass Era and pre-war classics traditionally seen at the company’s live Hershey auction will still be abundantly present, the online auction will also see the addition of several other categories of collector cars including American muscle and racing cars, European sports cars, and modern collectibles, with a total of approximately 80 cars set to cross the virtual block.
Each lot offered in the Online Only: Open Roads, Fall auction, will be presented with comprehensive photography, and in most cases, will be accompanied by condition reports completed by RM Sotheby’s Specialists as well as catalogue descriptions. Where available, additional information on each lot, such as history files and accompanying receipts or documentation, can be viewed online, once logged in to rmsothebys.com, by clicking the “View Files” button on the individual lot page.

Bidders are responsible for any applicable duty and/or local taxes on any motor car(s) or any other lot(s) purchased. International bidders are advised to inform themselves of potential import duties that would be due upon arrival of the lot(s) to its final destination. You are advised to speak with your local representatives in advance of the sale to understand what these costs would be.
Payment is due in full on or before 17:00 of the next business day following the auction, and payment is to be made to RM Sotheby’s (‘RMS’). All payments must be in the form of bank transfer unless other arrangements have been approved in advance. International Bidders are advised that bank transfers may take multiple days for funds to transfer, and as such, we ask for banking institutions to confirm the transfer directly with our Administration department once initiated.
RMS strongly advises Buyers to make immediate arrangements for the collection and transport of purchased lots. It is the Buyer’s responsibility to make their own arrangements, but RMS is pleased to offer our clients the services of the following preferred companies:

If the car is to go into storage, storage fees will be assessed on a case by case basis. Please note that it is the Buyer’s responsibility to insure their purchased lot(s) whilst in storage, as insurance is the Buyer’s responsibility once the lot is sold.
You will not receive your title for your car at the time of the sale. We manage the title transfer process on your behalf to ensure the car is free of liens and encumbrances. A $75.00 (USD) administration fee or its equivalent in local currency of the auction location ($65.00 (USD) in the State of California) will be assessed per motor car(s) purchased by an individual Buyer, however this fee will not apply to nostalgia lot(s). You can expect your title to be couriered to you within 20 business days post-sale, at which time you can register the car at its final destination. If a Lot(s) is rendered “Title in Transit,” it is unlikely that the Buyers will receive the title in the mail within 20 business days following the auction; however, RM will work to provide the titles to the Buyer as soon as possible.
