The result of years of testing on both the open road and in motorsport, Porsche truly saved the best for last with their 997-generation 911 GT3 RS 4.0. Its engine was the most powerful normally aspirated flat-six built by Porsche at the time of its unveiling, producing 500 bhp at 8,250 rpm along with 339 foot-pounds of torque. Even though the standard GT3 RS was certainly on a diet, Porsche managed to find a way to trim another 10 kilograms from its overall weight by fitting carbon-fibre front fenders and trunk lid along with titanium connecting rods and lighter interior trim, making it truly a thrill to drive.
Delivered new to Monaco, where it has resided from new with its original owner, this 911 GT3 RS 4.0 is finished in white with the standard livery of grey stripes offset by the optional white wheels. Inside, this 911 GT3 RS 4.0 is trimmed strikingly in Alcantara with red sport seat inserts, and a white-painted roll bar, only adding to the car’s sporting nature. Aside from the leather-wrapped steering wheel, the cabin is awash in black and red Alcantara, along with matching red seat belts and door-pulls. The car was last serviced in July of 2019 at 4,843 km and invoices for this work are included in the history file.
Having only been driven just under 5,100 km from new, the car presents in wonderful condition both inside and out. Undoubtedly the most desirable iteration of the 997-generation of Porsche’s 911, the GT3 RS 4.0 is a landmark automobile and provides a truly unrivaled driving experience. Sure to be collectible for years to come, this example is ready to be driven and enjoyed as its manufacturers intended.
