This beautifully restored, highly collectable, and eminently useful Porsche-Diesel Junior 109 is believed to be one of only about 1,000 Porsche-Diesel tractors of any type imported to North America from 1957 through 1962. Being a 1962 model, it came late in the Junior 109’s lifecycle (1952–1963) and thus benefits from incremental improvements made throughout production.

This example’s original owner is believed to have been a Mr. Robert Kinsman of Oakhurst, California, according to records kept by the previous owner, Tim Goodrich of Portland, Oregon, who acquired the tractor from Kinsman in the late 1980s. After some years of use, Goodrich registered the Junior 109 with the Porsche-Diesel Tractor Registry in 2002 and set about painstakingly restoring it over several years, a process that involved chasing down various parts from as far as Europe, as documented in numerous notes, invoices, and correspondence with Porsche-Diesel experts. Goodrich’s considerable efforts were rewarded in 2006 with a First Place People’s Choice Award for Porsche-Diesel tractors at the Porsche Club of America Parade in Portland, Oregon.

Acquired by the White Collection in 2018, this Junior 109 is beautifully presented in red with cream wheels and seat. Its 822-cubic-centimeter single-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine is rated at 15 horsepower and paired with a ZF manual transmission featuring six forward and two reverse gears. The hydraulic lift incorporates a three-point hitch compatible with modern farm equipment, making it as practical and usable as it is attractive and collectable.

Porsche-Diesel tractors remain in use on farms or properties across the country to this day, giving this 1962 Junior 109 immeasurable appeal—not only for avid collectors, but those with working farms or property owners. It is now offered with an extensive history file, tools, and awards plaques.
