355 bhp, 350 cu. in. Chevrolet OHV V-8 engine, three-speed Turbo 350 Hydra-Matic transmission, coil spring independent front suspension, live rear axle with coil-over-shock trailing arms, and four-wheel power hydraulic disc brakes. Wheelbase: 106.5 in.

This spirited High Boy Deuce Roadster was built by renowned craftsman Marty Harp for DuPont Performance Coatings’ “Hot Hues” line of specialty paints. Hot Hues offers special two- and three-stage base coats with candy color concentrates and clear coats for a wide range of custom applications. This fiberglass roadster is painted in Mercedes Copper Bronze and is accented with orange Hot Hues flames.

It is powered by a Performance Products ZZ4 350-cubic inch Chevy crate engine with Edelbrock aluminum manifold, four-barrel carburetor, and Mallory electronic ignition. The transmission is a Turbo 350 Hydra-Matic. Front suspension is a coil-over-shock control arm independent setup with rack-and-pinion steering. A Currie live rear axle is suspended by trailing arms and coil springs, and the disc brakes are used all around.

The cockpit is finished in hand-sewn tan leather with matching carpet on the floor and a matching canvas top. The instrument panel has gauges from Classic Instruments, and a tilt steering column and Pioneer stereo complete the cockpit equipment. Colorado Custom wheels are mounted with B.F. Goodrich g-Force T/A tires, 215/45ZR17 in the front and 295/40ZR20 at the rear.

This car has earned awards at many events, including Senior First Place the 2008 Adirondak Nationals and Best of Show at Frank Maratta’s Auto and Cycle Show. It has been featured in several magazines and on numerous calendars. Every conceivable surface is chromed, and the car bears Marty Harp’s signature on the dashboard. Well-known in exhibition circles, this hot-hued hot rod will be an asset to any collection.
