This Polar White 1970 Pontiac Trans Am (the first model to feature the Trans Am eagle decal logo) features the RAM Air III LS1, 400-cid, 360-hp engine mated to a close-ratio, four-speed transmission with Hurst shifter. The car also has an engine turned aluminum instrument panel insert, power steering and brakes; fourteen-inch Formula steering wheel, Trans Am exclusive grille surround, front and rear spoiler and the Rally Gauge Cluster. According to Pontiac Historic Services documentation provided with the car, only 3,196 Pontiac Trans Am coupes were manufactured in 1970. According to this documentation only 1,769 were manufactured with this performance package.
