This Studebaker Hawk GT is a Pennsylvania area car that has resided in private collection for several years. It features its original 289-cid V-8 engine which is rated at 225-hp with a four-barrel carburetor and connected to the rather rare factory four-speed manual transmission. The body is straight with very presentable paint; the interior is redone correctly in leather. The dashboard and related components and gauges are excellent, as are the carpets and headliner. The chrome is new; the engine compartment and trunk are essentially untouched and quite correct. It is reported that the car is sound mechanically, well maintained and has not been driven in inclement weather for many years. Less than 8,500 Hawk GTs were produced in the inaugural year of 1962; this example has the original owner’s manual and two sets of factory keys. The Studebaker’s wheels and hupcaps are correct and tires are nearly new.
