This 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS convertible features custom steering wheel, tachometer, chrome wheels, fully refurbished interior, body, bright work and the optional 327-cid, 300-hp, Turbo-Fire V-8 with dual four-barrel carburetion and automatic transmission. In 1964, resultant of a Chevrolet marketing department decision, the Super Sport Impala became a distinct model (style number 1367) rather than an option package. Unique to this model was an interior that mimicked that of the custom 1963 Impala Super Sport driven by Chevrolet General Manager Bunkie Knudsen, a full length body side molding, and special door trim panels.
