René Seybold (Strasbourg, France)

This delightful instrument can turn anyone into a whole band with only a little practice! It consists of a hand-held, self-playing accordion with bass drum, snare drum and cymbal mounted separately. The performer holds the accordion and pumps it in and out like an ordinary one, and the mechanism plays the accordion notes and drums automatically from a small paper roll, of which there are three dozen with the instrument. One of only a few examples remaining from the early part of the 20th century, this is an extremely novel and delightful unit for entertaining, parties, variety acts and more. 41x30x14 inches.
