Specifications: 851 cc DOHC liquid-cooled Desmo, six speeds.

While the Ducati 851 was campaigned in World Superbike in 1987-92, the 851 Strada was being sold to the public. It used the same frame without the reinforced swing-arm, and the first ones had Paso-type mirrors, a detuned engine and 16-inch wheels, unlike the 17-inch wheels of the race bikes. With lower compression, the Strada still made 103 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and also had twin injectors and the titanium connecting rods of the race bike. The 851 was very expensive when it was new, and examples are seldom seen or offered for sale today. This example is a very sound original model with excellent paint and cosmetics, benefitting from recent attention.
