Specifications: 904 cc V-twin SOHC Desmo, six speeds.

The 1992-96 Ducati Superlight was a limited-edition, single-seat 900 Super Sport, which showcased the use of carbon-fibre. The engine was the 73 horsepower, two-valve Desmo oil/air-cooled V-twin, based on the 900 SS SP model. Carbon-fibre was used for the mudguards and clutch cover, and the first series had 17-inch Marvic composite wheels. The original intention was to build only 500 bikes that year, but eventually about 900 were made, including 300 yellow examples sent to the U.S. The Superlight II of 1993 replaced the composite wheels with Brembo units and added a floating rear disc brakes setup, and the Superlight IV of 1995 added an oil temperature gauge and a new windshield design. This Superlight II was built in 1993 and is No. 34 of that year’s limited production. Well-presented and offered in original condition with good paint, this rare superbike is a definite future collectors’ motorcycle.
