Please note this lot has entered the UK on a temporary import bond, which must be cancelled either by exporting the lot outside of the UK on an approved Bill of Lading with supporting customs documentation or by paying the applicable VAT and import duties to have the lot remain in the UK.
Between 1958 and production limping to an end in 1964, the Wolverhampton-based Frisky Cars Ltd built a total of approximately only 1,500 vehicles. It is said that as few as 75 examples survive today. Among them, the first-generation Family Three offered here.
A three-wheeled microcar measuring just 10 feet in length and featuring a front bench seat, it was first registered for road use on 15 September 1959. The Family Three eventually moved to the United States as part of The Bruce Winer Microcar Museum in Madison, Georgia, prior to being purchased by the consigning owner in February 2013 and relocated to Belgium.
Housing a two-stroke Villiers 9E engine displacing 197 cc to deliver in the region of nine horsepower, it is charmingly presented with white and yellow bodywork over red upholstery.
