The piece for auction, M1A1 Abrams turret trainer, was obtained by the MVTF in 2004/2005. It is a maintenance trainer used to train M1A1 Abrams turret mechanics. Upon arrival at the MVTF, a simulated turret shell and 120-mm cannon were added to the original trainer cage. All turret dimensions are accurate. Openings are provided in the sides of the turret to allow viewing of the turret interior. It is painted in the current three-color NATO scheme of dark green, red brown and black. Includes wooden wall target.
