Unveiling its newest supercar at a nightclub was a bold move for Ferrari, but it could not have been more fitting on the evening before the 1984 Paris Motor Show. At the Lido nightclub on the Champs-Élysées, a select group of media and clients were afforded the chance to get a sneak peek of the new model just prior to its unveiling. The Lido was known for its flamboyance and overt style, and the choice of venue was instantly understood by all that first laid eyes on the new Testarossa. With its imposing proportions, striking side strakes, and potent 12-cylinder engine, the Testarossa quickly became synonymous with the unbridled ambition and sense of excess that marked the era.

This 1987 Ferrari Testarossa left the factory finished in Rosso Corsa over Nero with the special 'Monodado' single-bolt wheels. It was sold new through Autodino AG in Zurich, Switzerland on 16 April 1987 to its first owner, a resident of Zurich. According to the warranty book, the car returned to Autodino AG for service in August of 1987. Subsequent services in 1990, 1991, and 1996 were carried out by Garage Foitek AG. It was later serviced in 2014 at Leirer AG Sportgarage. In July 2015 the car achieved its Ferrari Classiche certification, confirming it wears its factory colours and retains its matching-numbers chassis, engine, and gearbox. Later joining The Tailored For Speed Collection, the Testarossa was serviced at Niki Hasler AG Ferrari in April 2022 and later in February 2024.

Today, this Testarossa is offered with an odometer reading of 44,962 kilometres at the time of cataloguing. It is accompanied by owner’s manuals with folio, including warranty book, Ferrari Classiche “Red Book”, and jack.

With its stunning design, powerful 12-cylinder engine, and crisp gated manual gearbox, the Ferrari Testarossa embodies the 1980s. Finished in Rosso Corsa over Nero and equipped with the special 'Monodado' wheels, this Ferrari Classiche-certified example will remain an icon for years to come.
