  • Offered from a well-known private collection
  • One of the last great Packards
  • Restored in elegant colors and well optioned

212 bhp, 359 cu. in. L-head inline eight-cylinder engine, two-speed Ultramatic Drive automatic transmission, independent front suspension with coil springs, semi-floating rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 122 in.

The car offered here, one of only four hundred 1954 Caribbeans built, was beautifully restored for its former long-term owner, a well-known East Coast collector, by the late Packard expert Robert Turnquist, of Hibernia Restorations. The restoration returned the car to “like-new” condition, down to the factory-correct finish in Gulf Green and Sahara Sand. It is equipped with both of the available options, power windows and seats, and it is reported by its owner to run and drive well, with all of its equipment properly functioning “as it should.” It has been driven only test mileage since its restoration and has only gently mellowed, with its recent detailing still in excellent overall condition.

To find a 1954 Caribbean is rare enough, but to find one restored to these standards is even more of a challenge. This is a superb example.
