50 hp, 643 cc OHV twin-cylinder engine.
Six Italian brothers started the Italian motorcycle manufacturer Benelli in 1921, and over the years, they made a huge number of different models, many of them extremely competitive in their racing classes. By the 1960s, the company was concentrating on DOHC four-cylinder race bikes, but they were also offering mini-bikes and four-stroke singles.
The new 650-cubic centimeter Tornado twin was launched in 1967, but a financial crisis meant a buyout by Alejandro De Tomaso in the 1970s, just as the extraordinary six-cylinder 750 Sei was launched. The bike on offer is described as an extremely fast race-prepared Tornado twin from the Altinier Motorsports Group in Treviso, Italy. Built in 1968, it has a full fairing and drum brakes, and it is likely to be a factor in any AHRMA class for which it is entered.
