Chevrolet would release several models inspired by NASCAR drivers of the era. The first model released was the 2002 Dale Earnhardt “Intimidator Edition.” The production run consisted of only 3,333 vehicle. These cars had two color schemes: a black body with galaxy silver rocker panels and front and rear air dams, and an all-black body with black ground effects. A thin red stripe above the silver ground effects was also included paying tribute to Dale Earnhardt’s iconic livery. Behind the rear windows, the Dale Number 3 logo was placed and silver “Intimidator” SS badges were applied on the right side of the trunk. An Intimidator badge with the number 3 appeared on the dash, and Earnhardt’s signature could be seen on the gauge cluster.

Priced at an MSRP of $29,575, this already loaded and well equiped “Intimidator” was built with, and retains the following additional options: Monte Carlo SS Preferred Equip ($660.00), Electric Sunroof ($795.00), Leather Accent Bucket Seats ($625.00), AM/FM radio with cassette ($445.00), Six-Way Power Passenger Seat ($325.00), Front Heated Seats ($120.00), and engine block heater ($35.00).

This Monte Carlo has only 1,590 miles showing on the odometer and is reported to have been stored in a climate controlled environment when not in use.
