The 1932 Ford HiBoy is a Beautiful True American Icon. This HiBoy Roadster is a complete from Scratch-Built Toy. It has only been enjoyed a pampered 756 miles. It was originally built by Harry Nick of Nick's Old Car Specialties out of Redlands , California. A place known for Superior Craftsmanship and this HiBoy is a great example. This Scratch Build started with the great find of an Original 1932 Brookfield Roadster Body. The chassis is completely built from scratch because that's what Nick's Old Car Specialties does the best.

The unique I beam/ torsion-bar front suspension is probably the most comfortable non IFS hot rod suspension. QA1 shocks dampen the ride just right, and the Wilwood disc brakes do a great job of slowing down the HiBoy. Up front, the steel 32 grille shell is impeccable and serves as a focal point for the car. King B headlights illuminate the open road while a pair of traditional 50 Pontiac taillights are beautifully inlaid on the rear. The rear suspension of the car is no less sophisticated than the front. A Parallel-link suspension system controls the movement while a unique torsion bar suspension system keeps the ride super smooth. QA1 shocks are also used on the rear. A narrowed Ford 9 inch rear end with 3.50 gears gets the power to the ground. A 22 gallon aluminum fuel tank resides between the parallel links for plenty of cruising range.

The power plant is no joke!! It has a Chevrolet 327 engine with a crane cam that provides 0.490 inch of lift. All the parts were machined by Dougans engine rebuilding and the assembly was spearheaded by George Eckardt. The Roadster also has a TH-400 automatic transmission that was matted to the engine, a custom steel drive shaft was built by Inland Driveline Service. The complete exhaust system was built in house at Nick's Old Car Specialties, the system is 1-3/8 inch in diameter and uses Spin Tech Mufflers. The interior is hand-stitched. This HiBoy's fit and finish is an incredible example of great dedication. It was featured in American Rodder magazine. Please contact us any time with questions you may have on this Beautiful Toy.
