  • One-of-a-kind “designer-built classic"
  • Finished approximately five years ago
  • 100-percent body-off restoration
  • Custom interior with air conditioning
  • Sport Coupe is “clean and shaved”, repeated show winner

This 1958 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe Restomod wears the look of a car just naturally born for the open road. The owner states that over $100,000 was invested in the building of this one-of-a-kind “designer-built classic" that was finished approximately five years ago. The car has gone through a 100-percent body-off restoration that has resulted in an auto that “shows and drives as new.” It is powered by a freshly built, original 348-cid engine that has three two-barrel carburetors. This is connected to an uncommon column-mounted three-speed transmission and has Positraction. The engine also features a high-capacity alternator and a heavy-duty starter.

The Impala is finished in high-gloss black and has an eye-catching, triple panel purple and black lace finished roof. The custom interior seating is white Naugahyde with black piping – the Impala also has new air conditioning. It has an all-new headliner, extra chrome panel trim and a one-of-a-kind, white mother-of-pearl dashboard. It is also fitted with a stereo CD with sub-woofer. Chrome wire wheels and air ride suspension enhances the overall look and style of the Impala. It also highlights a custom trunk with a matching wire wheel spare. The Sport Coupe is “clean and shaved” with door poppers. It is a repeated show winner (including two "Best of Show") at venues it has participated at and is reported to be a “joy to drive" as it rides and tracks "perfectly." The original parts have all been stored and are in exceptional condition; these are included in the transaction as well.
