The Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud I was the very model of British automotive aristocracy in the 1950s, and the Silver Cloud was the definitive model for the rest of the line. Plush, conservatively styled and solid, Rolls-Royce resisted the styling glitz so popular in the U.S. at the time to concentrate on building a car without peer in the highest portion of the luxury market.
