This 1969 Boss 429 belongs to 1997 Formula One World Champion and 1995 Indianapolis 500 Champion Jacques Villeneuve. The popular Canadian followed in the racing footsteps of his father – legendary Ferrari ace Gilles Villeneuve. Starting in karting in the mid-1980s, Jacques was a quick study and fast. By 1993 he had progressed through Italian and Japanese Formula Three and found his way to the United States. A very successful period followed in which Jacques won the 1995 Indianapolis 500 and the Indy Car Championship in only his second year of competition at that level. Switching to Formula One in 1996, Jacques would sit on pole position and finish second in his first race. He finished second in the World Championship to teammate Damon Hill before winning the driver’s title for himself in 1997. An 11-year Formula One career ensued. Jacques Villeneuve still races in many varied types of cars throughout the world, and was recently seen competing in January 2012 ice racing for the French Andros Trophy. Last season Jacques ran the road course races with Team Penske in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

Jacques has always liked American muscle cars, again following Gilles road car preferences. Jacques bought this Boss 429 in 2005. It is finished in Candyapple Red and equipped with the luxury interior package that includes black Comfortweave high-back bucket seats. It was built at the Dearborn facility and is powered by the 429-cid, 375-hp V-8 engine coupled to a close-ratio four-speed manual transmission and Equa-Lock differential.
