Chevrolet introduced its new El Camino in 1959, a vehicle the company hailed as “more than a car - more than a truck.” The El Camino had the general styling of the 1959 Chevrolet passenger cars but added a bed with a cargo capacity of 1,150 pounds. The box has a volume of nearly 34 cubic feet and a double-wall design. This arrow-straight El Camino has undergone a 1-1/2 year restoration and is equipped with a 283-cid V-8 engine, connected to a four-speed transmission. American Racing Wheels enhance the retrospective style; disc brakes and dual-exhaust are also fitted to the vehicle.
