The front-engine 456 was introduced in 1992 as the replacement model for the Ferrari 412 as the Italian company’s premium V-12 four-seat touring car. Legendary Ferrari power is provided by a 5.5-liter, 48 valve V-12 that produces 436 horsepower. This translates into 188-mph luxury supercar performance with strong reliability qualities.

At the time of introduction, this was the fastest production, four-seater in the world. Based on a tubular steel spaceframe, the body panels are aluminum with a composite hood. This was the last Ferrari model that utilized pop up headlights.

The M (Modificata) designation came in 1998 as a result of improved aerodynamics and cooling, along with refinements throughout the cars platform. Visual differences included an increase in the front grille size, as well as modifications to the front spoiler, hood-ducts and fog lamps. The interior continued to use Connolly leather, freshened by an updated design. Minor changes to the cockpit were for ergonomic purposes that were roundly welcomed. An impressive list of standard equipment came with the 456M. This includes air-conditioning, power windows, power front seats, power and heated door mirrors, dual front and side air bags, traction control, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, rear window defroster, remote keyless entry, alloy wheels, rear bucket seats, intermittent wipers and an AM/FM radio with CD, cassette and six speakers.

The total production quantity for all models of Ferrari 456 was 3,289; only 688 were 456 M GTs. This silver and black example has the manual and tool kit and is ready for your enjoyment.
