The heart of the off-roading automotive community has and will forever be the humble Jeep. Its historical significance is second to none, having been pivotal in all theaters of operation during World War II. Following its tenure as a military vehicle, the newly founded civilian “Jeep” became an instant hit with outdoor recreationists. Its tremendous off-road capability meant new lands could be explored, its drivers no longer held back by the lumbering road-only vehicles of the pre-war era. Following its release, no one could have predicted the cultlike Jeep following that would ensue. With owners craving greater off-road capability and further customization, entire aftermarket industries have developed over the subsequent decades, solely dedicated to the iconic Jeep.

This 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport has been heavily modified in looks, performance, and functionality. Beginning at the front, the Wrangler is equipped with a Rock-Slide Engineering bumper with a Smittybilt X2O 12,000 lb winch and a custom-painted 10th anniversary hood. Its aggressive stance is provided by a five-inch lift, Fox shocks, and custom-finished 22-inch Fuel Assault wheels with Repulsor 37×13.50R22LT tires. The larger wheels and tires are appropriately tucked under Bushwacker pocket-style fender flares. DV8 electronic steps provide easier access to the lifted Wrangler, automatically folding down when a door is opened. The rear of the Jeep is equipped with a full-size spare and a DV8 rear bumper. Auxiliary illumination is provided by four DB Link LED corner lights and a 50-inch DB Link LED light bar.

Under the hood the Wrangler is powered by a 3.6-liter DOHC 24-valve V-6 engine, which has been equipped with a Magnuson TVS 1320 supercharger and custom exhaust. The engine is backed by an automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive transfer case. Power is sent to an upgraded 4.88:1 rear end, which helps the Jeep accommodate the larger tire size.

The normally spartan interior has been luxuriously upgraded with Ferrari-style “Daytona” seats, Wild Boar grab handles, and a custom entertainment system featuring Alpine speakers and a Rockford Fosgate amp. It should be noted that the Jeep’s entertainment system is currently not functional. The Wrangler’s interior is protected by the elements with a Bestop fastback convertible top.

Included with this impressive custom Wrangler are owner’s manuals, Jeep door removal tool kit with pouch, Smittybilt X2O remote control, a copy of the window sticker, and a clean CARFAX report.
