The 1958 Chevrolet Corvette falls under the first generation, or C1 years of the Corvette. The car featured styling changes from the 1957 model which included four chrome rimmed headlights and a nine bar grille. For the 1958 model year Chevrolet produced 9,168 Corvettes, all of which were convertibles. Of those only 1,007 were ordered with the 283-cid, 290-hp V-8 fuel-injected engine, which had a reported 6.9-second 0-to-60-mph time.
